Mississippi
______________________
In less than five months at the height of the pandemic, Conexon helped seven co-ops come together to build over 2,000 miles of fiber reaching nearly 14,000 rural Mississippi homes. Conexon’s assistance in securing $33.8 million in CARES Act funding for the co-ops made the projects possible.
Louisiana
______________________
Conexon launched its first community broadband partnership project, building and operating a fiber network across East Carroll Parish without the support of a local electric cooperative. The goal is to support community ownership of the network – allowing residents to buy service from themselves and directly invest in their own future.
Georgia

Together with 13 co-ops, it has taken Conexon just over two years to do what others couldn’t accomplish in 100 years: bring reliable, affordable high-speed internet to nearly 100,000 previously unserved or underserved rural Georgians.
Florida
______________________
Conexon client Tri-County Electric Cooperative in Florida’s Big Bend was the state’s first FTTH project launched by an electric cooperative. Less than one year later, five FTTH projects are under way, with 20 counties impacted and 100,000 rural Floridians poised to have world- class access within the next four years.Grant and Funding Expertise
Conexon’s expertise in securing local, state and federal funding through the grant application and/or auction process is second to none. The Conexon-led Rural Electric Cooperative Consortium (RECC) is the most successful bidder by dollar amount in universal service auctions in FCC history.
- By dollar amount, the RECC was the most successful bidder in both the 2018 CAF II and 2020 RDOF auctions.
- The RECC won more states, locations, and funding than any other consortium in the RDOF auction – awarded over $1.1 billion to serve more than 600,000 rural areas across 22 states.
- Our RDOF success builds on previous success from the CAF II auction, in which that generation of the RECC was the largest gigabit tier winner, awarded $186 million to build FTTH networks.
Our experts can help you navigate the current and future funding opportunities. We can help prepare grant applications proven to translate into optimum funding for your cooperative.

"Like many other parts of rural America, our area finds itself on the wrong side of the ‘digital divide,’ being underserved or unserved by broadband providers.
That’s why we are excited to work closely with a trusted partner like Conexon to bring high-speed internet services to our portion of north Florida. Conexon brings expertise and years of experience in fiber-to-the-home systems for cooperatives across the country, and we are confident that together, we will achieve great results for our community, ushering in a new era of innovation and opportunity.”
